Students enrolling at Independence High School sign off on a “Contract for Independent Study” and a “Student Agreement”.
Independence High School believes in restorative practices as way to both build community in the classroom and address issues that need to be repaired. We also use a model of Positive Behavior and Supports (PBIS) to reward students for positive attendance, behavior and academic success. Rewards include monthly barbeques, weekly prize raffles and quarterly raffles for tablets.
